![]() ![]() In the case of Random and Shattered world modes, these have their own achievements and the ones for the standard game are not active (or not all, see the Wiki page for details), hence why you won't get them in such case. Sounds like coincidence, especially if it was unrelated to the achievement.Īchievements don't always trigger immidiately. it was noticeable that when the achievement did trigger today finally, it only did so after a remarrying event was held game-months later, so some triggering issues are still there. The internet connections of the players being unstable, Steam server for achievements being in maintencace or the chievos not triggering as fast as some players expected or loading chievio games after playing another campaign which can turn it off, etc. There had always and constantly been issues with achievements for CK2 or rather complaints about it. Originally posted by Myll:This wasn't an isolated event to just me. Some say that Achievements are selectively occurring, but it appears that most are not. Further more, Paradox is making tons of money off this game, now with an additional Subscription model/option, just raking in the dough, yet their patch for the Subscription seems to have broken many/most of the Achievements. Again, I'm not an Achievement Hound but this can be very upsetting to some Steam gamers, when a game doesn't work (or reward) as advertised. Yeah so imagine a game where you put about 40 hours in and get 4-5 of the achievements in that one game, so you think - until you then notice that none of them actually were credited to you. Especially considering the type of game it is, many of these achievements would only trigger once ever couple of hundreds of hours of normal play, so if you're playing casually it kind of sucks to see that something you did doesn't register with the game or that achievements have been disabled without notice. Drunk:I love the game, but the achievement system has to be one of the clumsiest of any game I've ever played. What's up Paradox/Dev's? If all this is broke, it makes me wonder what else inside the code is broke compared to what's supposed to WAI. Yes, I progressed, regardless that Achievements are broken. Not a Tribe (play as Tribal leader and reform to Feudalism). Actually just did this, one of the reasons I was prompted to look up what else didn't trigger.ĥ. It's Good to be King (go from Count to King with single character). I had that plus others because I had 3x separate diseases occur due to satanists in my realm causing diseases.Ĥ. I had several favors owed to me in recent game plays.ģ. You Owe Me (have someone owe you a Favor). ![]() And I had a 100% discontent Council, all thumbs down at one point.Ģ. One is Not Amused (as ruler, council is not content). I'm not an Achievement hunter, but after noticing that no Achievements had triggered from my prior 2 plays of the game after the Subscription became active, I had done the following but no Achievement earned:ġ. I use no Mods, and always start a game with verified Ironman mode with Green Text confirmation that Achievements are ON. Bear in mind - I bought into the Imperial Collection so I own 100% of the game, and all DLCs always active for every time I play. Although saying that, this could just be an opinion of someone tired of people like me making desiring every local nationalism under the sun to attain Kingdom status. Not sure if this is due to recent patching for the Subscription, or some other reason that the game is broken for some achievements right now. I've also heard you need at least two duchies to create a kingdom, in Cornwall's case this would be Cornwall itself and Wessex. Or maybe through ticking the various DLCs I have installed stops the event from firing. To finish, I remember when CK2 was first released (before any of the DLCs, but for the record I have them all ha) I asked on their Facebook page whether Cornwall was a Kingdom and someone responded saying it was creatable. My character no longer had the blue ducal wreaths associated with a Duchy but was gold and wore a crown. As I recall, I had only Cornwall's starting provinces of Cornwall and Exeter but 100 years had elapsed. It's just in the game in question an event fired which allowed me to 'Establish the Kingdom of Cornwall', and I'm unsure how this happened.
